卫生部前天宣布，本月18日晚上11时59分后，零售实体店可重开，公司也可到餐饮场所堂食。
随着更多经济活动恢复运作，为让访客和员工放心，多数企业也加强安全措施，在复工前进行大消毒。受访清洁公司都说，要求一次性清洁的客户增加不少。
Getz Cleanz 清洁公司董事林玮明（32岁）昨天受访时表示，当局在前天晚上公布消息后，他就接到不少询问和预约电话，来电者包括办公室和零售店业者。
林玮明说，清洁公司除了会进行传统消毒服务如喷雾（fogging），也会在长接触的表面上喷上一层自洁功能的消毒剂，以消灭病菌。
清新清洁有限公司林炜沦（35岁）则表示，公司目前已接到了20至30通电话，客户包括幼儿园、企业公司等等，档期几乎都排满了。
林炜沦说，员工进行清洁工作时，也会做足安全措施，包括穿上个人防护设备和实施一米安全距离等等。
林炜沦说，因疫情的关系，不少公司都让员工居家办公，由于他们的清洁公司主要以办公室和住家清理为主，因此生意大受影响，跌了80%。
“我们当时依靠其他客户例如巴士和酒店维持生意。虽然我们目前接到了不少工作，但不应把这视为需求增加，因为阻断措施实行期间许多清洁合约中断，所以现在更像是恢复服务。”
林玮明也透露，疫情在本地暴发时，因许多公司和企业都暂停营业，他们的生意也减少了60%。
“我们只好寻找新的客户，生意才开始好转。”

55岁清洁管工不畏冠病，面对风险仍坚守岗位，到确诊病例曾到访过的宿舍、工地、地下室等场所进行消毒工作，老板认同员工努力和付出，给予额外花红奖励。
在Getz Cleanz 清洁公司工作的卓赞利（55岁，管工）是在阻断措施期间，继续工作的其中一名必要服务员工。
他受访时说，妻子因疫情遭裁退，导致他成为家中的唯一经济支柱，虽然担心被感染，但为养家糊口，也得冒着风险坚守岗位。
’我不做谁做‘
“一旦接获有确诊病例后，我们就会尽快到场进行消毒。为了保护自己和家人，我们工作时都会’全副武装‘，做足防范措施，并在公司冲凉和清理干净后，才返回家中。其中一次，我曾在地下室进行消毒，长时间穿着防护衣工作，确实很闷热很辛苦，但也没办法，我不做谁做？”
不过，他说，公司老板非常体谅他们，因此除了给予他们工资、加班费，还特别给他们一个红包，令他感到欣慰。

冠病病患逗留过的场所都得捉紧时间消毒，清洁公司的年轻头家即便三更半夜也随传随到，站在前线对抗病毒。
冠病病毒传播速度快，尽快在病毒潜藏的空间进行消毒工作，是把控疫情的关键之一。刚步入30岁的清洁公司Getz Cleanz 创办人白诗涵透露，在病毒阻断措施期间，公司无法提供清理办公室、住家或在租客搬离后打扫等服务，却多了一个新任务，即消毒确诊冠病病患曾逗留的场所。
她说：“我的手机号码就是公司的热线电话，所以我是24小时全天待命，但我的员工则分成不同团队，错开上班时间，让大家有时间休息，我也不想让他们太操劳。”
她补充，他们是国家环境局认证可清理可确诊冠病病患曾逗留场所的清洁公司，所使用的是医院级别并获得国家环境局批准的清洁用品。包括白诗涵在内，公司共有九名员工接受培训，学习正确穿戴防护装备和消毒办法。
白诗涵的车上备好了全身防护装备和化学药剂，就算三更半夜接到电话也能立即出动。
她透露，她在接到电话的两个小时内准备就绪出发前往现场，完成消毒工作后，公司也会提供证书，注明消毒日期。
面对冠病疫情期间工作量增加，公司面临了另一个挑战，那就是公司的年长员工不适合到这类有冠病病毒的地方，政府也鼓励年长者留在家中。为了应付人手不足问题，白诗涵有时候也得亲自参与消毒工作。
她坦言，冠病病毒的消毒工作比起其他清洁工作更为辛苦，但是她认为年轻人就应该承担更多工作，而且从某个角度看来，他们是在为国家做出贡献。
她说：“我们接到电话后不能拒绝别人，而且对方打来的时候通常很紧张，不知道该如何进行消毒工作，如果不能及时消毒，他们也必须暂停营业。”
清洁公司体恤年长员工，视健康情况安排工作量，也会避免让年长者从事登高爬低的工作。
白诗涵透露，她创业的另一个目的是为年长者创造工作机会，让他们能灵活安排上班时间和天数。
她的公司约有50名员工，年长工占有三四十人。她说：“蛮多年长者从事清洁打扫工作，我们会尽量按照他们可以负担的工作量以及不同客户的需求分配工作。”
在步入第二阶段解封后，白诗涵会确保员工打扫时佩戴口罩和手套，如果用完了，她也会亲自送到员工家中或者客户办公室。
每个人都喜欢干净清洁的环境，却不是每个人都喜欢或掌握打扫的技巧。白诗涵童年体恤父母工作繁忙，主动分担打理家务，久而久之对各种清洁药剂产生兴趣。
她说：“小时候我看着组屋楼下的清洁工人轻而易举就能清除顽固污迹，我在家里用清洁剂擦洗了很久却还是擦不掉，就会好奇他们到底是怎么做到的。”

SINGAPORE, June 7 — It has never crossed Yuen Wen Hao’s mind that he would be enlisted as one of the frontline disinfection workers onboard a floating hotel, one of the places that house healthy foreign workers from dormitories in Singapore.
Floating hotels, army camps, vacant Housing Board flats and the Changi Exhibition Centre have been turned into temporary housing sites for more than 5,000 workers, mostly those who perform essential services, to prevent them from being infected by workers who have contracted COVID-19.
Yuen’s employer, Getz Cleanz, a cleaning and disinfection company, has stationed a team of about 40 members at the floating hotel, which accommodates about 500 migrant workers, since April this year.
Hailed from Bahru, Negeri Sembilan, Yuen, 32, decided to leave his rented house in Bukit Indah, Johor and stay in Singapore with his wife and their son when the Malaysian movement control order (MCO) kicked off on March 18.
Together with his superior, Yuen and his colleagues put in efforts to help everyone tide over the crisis triggered by COVID-19 which is blind to age, gender, racial, and religious distinctions.
Besides the floating hotel, Yuen and colleagues have been moving around Singapore to carry out preventive disinfection even at confirmed COVID-19 areas such as the Land Transport Authority offices and CDPL Tuas Dormitory.
“We have to be in dormitories where everyone knows that the infection numbers are high. At those areas, we have to be in full personal protective equipment (PPE) suit while carrying tanks filled with disinfect chemical behind our back,” he told Bernama.
“We comb the areas level by level for hours. It is worrying and tiring at the same time.”
“It really scares us as we may get infected but times are bad… for our families we can’t be choosy in picking up jobs,” said Yuen, adding that, however, it is satisfying when he and his colleagues managed to complete the disinfection work, successfully.

Harsh chemicals, long hours for elderly man cleaning 3 Singapore buildings every day
Since the spread of COVID-19 in Singapore, the city-state’s cleaners have been deployed to disinfect everything from the airport to shopping malls, all in addition to their regular work.
For janitor Lee Teng Kan, 67, that has meant scrubbing down industrial buildings in Woodlands. On top of washing areas such as toilets with detergent, he has to make additional rounds to disinfect surfaces that in the past were not a major concern.
Lee speaks Mandarin and talked to Coconuts Singapore with the help of a company translator.

The fact is that many cleaners are elderly people in their 60s to early 70s. They may have health issues and do not have the energy they had in their youth. However, they may have to continue working in order to support themselves and perhaps even their loved ones. One such cleaner, 67-year-old Lee Teng Kan, who works for Get Cleanz, recently told Coconuts that he cleans three buildings every day, using harsh chemicals. His workdays are also longer than they have ever been. Mr Lee has been in the cleaning industry for five years and yet he has never worked as hard as he’s had to during this pandemic. He told the media outfit that he has been scrubbing industrial buildings located in Woodlands. And while disinfecting bathrooms with detergents has always been part of his duties, he now has to clean other parts of the building that never needed to be disinfected before the outbreak of Covid-19.
